Electric Software was founded in 1982. For more than twenty-five years, Electric Software has envisioned and created next-generation, award-winning software products that serve users well.
Over time, our products and users have shifted from the world of the office toward the world we know best: software development. Our flagship product since 1997 is GlowCode, the performance toolset for Windows software developers. GlowCode represents more than 25 years of corporate history increasingly focused on serving software developers.
Electric Software is a company run by and for software developers. Electric Software is guided today by the same developers who founded the company 25+ years ago. ElectricDesk
ElectricDesk was one of the first integrated software packages for the IBM-PC. More than 500,000 copies of ElectricDesk, later named
AlphaWorks, were sold, many as OEM sales to Epson, IBM, PackardBell, and others. The product received numerous industry awards, including PC Magazine's Editor's Choice. In 1990, Lotus Software acquired the exclusive rights to ElectricDesk and AlphaWorks and marketed the product as LotusWorks.
- ReportStyler
ReportStyler was a Windows product that allows a user to easily and dramatically improve the presentation of legacy data base reports by adding fonts and graphics. Software Magazine named it Product of the Year in 1994.
- GlowCode
GlowCode is our real-time performance and memory profiler for C++ and .NET Windows applications built with native and managed code. GlowCode attaches itself to any running program and detects memory and resource leaks, isolates performance bottlenecks, profiles and traces program execution, and finds unexecuted code. In managed code GlowCode also isolates boxing errors, identifies excessive memory usage, and finds hyperactive and loitering objects.
